House Walkerson’s, Dullstroom
This site is located in the eastern highlands of South Africa. Walkerson’s Private Estate is an upmarket private estate offering a limited number of owners an exclusive country lifestyle.
The architecture of this house is dictated by the estate guidelines which essentially dictates the architectural language relevant to the “Verandah Style”. The design concept reflects a simple farmstead configuration with an individual identity set in the natural landscape.
The concept emphasizes simplicity, human scale and vertical proportions, traditional plan form, harmony, refined details and natural colours.
